Brothers and Sisters
Your local union wishes to inform you that Evraz will be holding their Town Hall meeting next week on April 29th, 2013 at 7:30 pm and April 30th, 2013 at 7:30 am, with both meetings taking place at the Turvey center. It is without question that many issues and concerns continue to remain on the minds of our members including some new concerns that have developed since the last town hall meeting.
We as United Steelworkers need to bring the big issues to the forefront in regards to our safety, reduced production levels, quality of our product, and the profitability and future of our facility, which must include the status of Evraz Inc NA on the world stage. These issues confront us now, and they are real.
All of these topics have a direct impact on us and our families on so many levels. This coming Monday &Tuesday we have the opportunity to bring foreword these important issues to the people most qualified to answer them, the CEO of Evraz Inc NA and management.
Your union executive encourages our members to attend this town hall meeting. We need to remain diligent and professional with our questions and concerns and let our voice be heard as only Steelworkers can.
Solidarity Forever!
I agree 100% with this. If you ever want answer, go directly to the top. If he can’t answer them, then WHO can. Let’s just hope we get answers and NOT ” I’ll get back too you,” and we never hear back. Let be professional and hold them accountable. When Mr. Rehwinkel tells us one thing, but in the plant, things are done different , something is wrong. When words don’t match the actions, It raises questions about the integrity of the words spoken. Brothers and Sisters, come to the meetings, armed with questions that you need and want answered. This is your livelihood, be involved. STAND UP, UNITE and Be STRONG
