Effective the first pay period after the release C.O.L.A will be $0.58 per straight time hours worked. We have been informed that rates to reflect the roll in have now been updated and retro pay from Aug 1st to Aug 20th will be paid on the Sept 9th pay.

The CPI figure for July 2016 was released on August 19, 2016. As per the Collective Agreement the following calculation will apply.

The CPI figure for January 2016 was released on February 19, 2016. As per the Collective Agreement the following calculation will apply.

(Divide by .063 per each 1 cent) = -$0.11
Effective with the first pay period after the release, COLA will be $0.31 per straight time hour worked as it was previously $0.42.
The Union is checking these calculations as sometimes they have been incorrect in the past.
COLA 1st Quarter 2015

The CPI figure for April 2015 was released on May 22, 2015. As per the Collective Agreement the following calculation will apply.

Effective with the first pay period after the release, COLA will be $0.24 per straight time hour worked as it was previously -$0.12.
COLA Adjustment
The July 2014 CPI release date from the federal government used to calculate the COLA will be on August 22nd. The accumulated COLA amount after the adjustment of July 2014 compared to April 2014 will then be rolled into the Standard Hourly Scale as part of the base rate for wages as per the Letter Of Understanding Section 3 in the current CBA. The new rate will be reflected on the Sept 12th pay day with retro pay for the adjustment to be paid on the Sept 26th pay.

Cost of Living Adjustment (2nd quarter 2013)
The CPI figure was released from Stats Canada on August 23 for the second quarter of 2013. As per the Collective Bargaining Agreement COLA will increase 8 cents. The new COLA rate will be 92 cents per straight time hour.

Profit Sharing/C.O.L.A Announcement
Evraz has released the 2012 4th quarter Profit Sharing amount this morning at $1.06 per eligible hour. Direct deposit to bank accounts will happen March 1st, 2013.
C.O.L.A numbers have also been released and adjusted to $0.54 per straight time hour worked. A decrease from $0.75.

Effective with the first pay period after the release, COLA will increase to $0.75 per straight time hour worked from $0.61.
Cost of Living Allowance
The Canada Pricing Index figure for January 2012 was released on February 17, 2012.
C.O.L.A will be going down 1¢ which will reduce the C.O.L.A addition on regular hours worked to 10¢/hr from 11¢/hr
